A Look into This Weekend’s Mood Board:
AAHHH!! Finally, Coachella weekend has arrived!! My besties and I rented an Airbnb in Indio and we’re so excited to see our favorite artists and just hop around all the music sets.
For the weekend, I took my favorite accessories with me. All of these pieces are universal, and I made sure to coordinate them with each of my outfits. This way, I don’t have to worry too much about accessorizing and adding other details. First, I brought my metallic silver wrap around sunglasses. They’re from the gas station, so if I were to possibly lose them (which I definitely have at music festivals), then it wouldn’t be such a big deal. As for my bag, I went with a simple black leather cross body bag from Free People. It has various compartments which is really convenient (maybe even a must), and is simple enough that I think no one would think twice about pick pocketing it. Aside from my daily jewelry, I picked out my brand new lavender flower choker from Etsy (I can’t wait to show it off). Another detail that’s a MUST for me is my nails, which were simple with metallic designs. Finally, my shoes for the weekend were my pink sambas from Adidas! They’re super comfy and already broken in, so I wouldn’t mind getting them dirty —Plus, they add a pop of color to each outfit!
Day 1: For day 1, I was most looking forward to Gorillaz’ set. In order to embody their vibe, I decided to go for more of a “cool girl” type of look; This inspiration would be centered around streetwear fashion, with some skater and punk influence. With that being said, I decided to wear my Dickies striped overalls. Since the overalls cover my whole body and has a looser fit, I styled it with one strap hanging down to show off some skin. This way, everyone can see still my Kauai-Mudd style bikini top from Miaou. I love how the colors and silhouettes of the bikini top and overalls complement each other; It’s the perfect balance between masculine and feminine aesthetics! As for my hair, I went with a messy half up half down style. Both my outfit and hairstyle allow me to move and be comfortable, yet with flirty influence.
Day 2: The second day was allllll about BLACKPINK —at least in my eyes! With this in mind, I went for a hyper feminine look that made me feel sexy, cool, and fun! For my top, I picked out a white ribbed halter top from Juliette Johnstone. Even though it’s white, it features many colors and of course, a lily flower motif. As for my bottoms, I decided to go with this fun thrifted leather ultra-mini skirt! The skirt is dark blue in the leather material, featuring some red stitching for extra added detail. I also decided to let my hair down this day in order to maintain the super girly theme; I made sure to add some braids to add more focal points, and also keep my hair out of my face (lol).
Day 3: On the third and final day, I was really tired from the whole weekend (especially after having to get up early and check out!!); Walking, standing, and just being out in the heat in general really started to catch up to me. Of course, I still had all the energy in the world to FINALLY see Frank Ocean perform! So for this day, I leaned towards a more simple and comfortable look that doesn’t require any effort in terms of adjusting my clothes throughout the day. I wanted to give off a casual, effortless vibe that’s still stylish (duh). For my top, I opted for a yellow thrifted graphic tee; I decided to go with something colorful that way I’m still fashionable. As for my bottoms, I picked out these white ruffled bloomer shorts. They’re super trendy, and of course, super comfortable! I also made sure to bring my button up Ube purple sweater from Unif to add more dimension and layers to my simple look. My hair was a mess from the whole weekend, so I put it up in 2 high twisted braids. All the pieces are simple, but combined all my efforts look so stylish and cool!
All in all, my besties and I had such a great weekend! We made so many memories and have so many cute pictures and videos to look back on. <3
